Sonya, Sam and the team at Eagle Mill welcome you!
Set within three acres of garden, orchard and paddock…
Eagle Mill is an 18th Century millworker’s cottage which has had a purpose built, architect designed bed and breakfast extension attached.
The area has a countryside feel yet it is convenient to the market towns of Huntingdon and St Ives with Cambridge being a mere 13 miles away. The fast train from Huntingdon will deliver you to London Kings Cross within 50 minutes.
Here at Eagle Mill we are passionate about sustainability and have an eco-focused ethos.
To save water and detergents, we launder your bed linen after 3 days, unless you request otherwise.
Towels that you hang or place on the heated rail will be left for re-use, but we will happily change those left on the floor or in the bath.
Breakfast ingredients are produced by a local family butcher and when in season, tomatoes and mushrooms will reach your plate fresh from the fenland.
About the local area
The twin villages of Houghton and Wyton lie a short stroll away, as do the wondrous countryside and river walks of the Ouse valley. The villages boast two traditional pubs offering good food, a busy independently owned traditional shop, two tea rooms, an antique shop and an amazing art gallery which showcases the eclectic talent of local artists.
The only operational water mill on the River Great Ouse is situated in Houghton and it is maintained by the National Trust.
We love doggies at Eagle Mill, so we have selected one room designed for the comfort of friendly, well behaved pooches. Should this luxury “doggie den” be unavailable, we are happy to have your doggie sleep over at our place where it can share a space with our Springer Spaniel, Bella. Proof of up to date inoculation is a strict requirement. Unfortunately, we cannot allow your doggie in the breakfast room.
The area is known for its walks where you and your dog can stretch your legs.
